India Cyber Gaming Season has Begun

Hear ye all gaming fans, the grand Cyber Gaming Season has begun with Indian Cyber Gaming Championship (ICGC) and South Asia Cyber Gaming Championship. The ICGC city qualifiers is taking place since yesterday in nine Indian cities where gamers can show their talent at listed cyber cafes. These nine cities include Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Goa. Also, the Electronic Sports World Cup for Indian qualifiers will take place. All interested gamers must register online. Events are sponsored by Nvidia, Razer, Cooler Master and Technoholik.

Unleash the true gamer inside you by registering yourself at the select cyber cafes and take part in the qualifying ICGC event. In all, seven games, of which two are official and five un-official games, are to be played for individual championship in each game. Two official games include FIFA 2010 and Trackmania Nations while the unofficial games include Counter Strike 1.6, World of WarCraft III DOTA, Call of Duty 4, NFS Most Wanted and Street Figher IV.

Gamers from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will participate in the SACGC.

For single player games, the entry fees is Rs. 200 per participant while for multi-player games, the entry player games, the fees for each team is Rs. 1,000.City qualifiers will be held from May 3-7 in the selected gaming cafes. Two teams for each game will qualify for city finals. City finals will be held from May 8-9. Two teams from each city will qualify for national finals, which will be held from May 20-22 at Palmarinha Resort in Goa.

Check out the prizes to be won for individual games. Those who win FIFA 2010 and Trackmania Nations would be sent to Paris for Electronic Sports World Cup representing India.
